Windows 7 scenery load

I am now using Windows 7 in my new computer. FSX works great except for manually loading scenery. I add a scenery file to the Add On Scenery folder but cannot manually activate it. All the scenery that activates automatically (Hawaii Mega scenery for example) works perfectly. I am using the same procedures that I used with XP. Any ideas?

Having changed from Win 7 for similar, problems,I went to Win 8...For me a complete let down...Switched to FIREFOX,and happy to say just Great in all areas!!.....Vin

You are welcome.

I had a full head of hair when I switched to Win7 and was almost bald by the time I got my first bit of scenery to actually show up in sim! Solution was easy but how whoever figured it out did it I don't know because as Bill said it not exactly intuitive.

The information from the video would have been helpful recently. I am glad this was pointed out. It is hard enough to find the right scenery config file for a manual install.
