Windows 7, UAC, and FS9 installed in default folder

I don't have my FS stuff installed in the default location, so I can't test this. If you have FS9 installed in "c:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Games\blah" and find you cannot edit your own files, does simply turning off UAC fix this, or is there more to do? I seem to remember that UAC was not the only thing preventing editing in there, but it's been a while... (All the above assuming you're logged on as an administrator)

I remember seeing a procedure for giving yourself full control admin rights to the FS9 folder, but it's been a while since my Windows classes so I don't want to give bad info. Search for articles about folder permissions and you should get what you need.

@zswobbie1: That's what I thought at some point too. Then it seemed there were folder permission issues that also needed tweaking, but I wasn't sure. Wanted to get a rough idea of what the smart people here were doing...
