Windows 8.1 & pseudo full screen

Has anyone the above combination (also I'm running FSX in DX10 mode). Cannot seem to get pseudo_full_screen to work and am wondering if it is compatible with Win8.1. I had it functioning great under my old PC with Win7

I have tried the right click on the .exe to set in compatibility modes etc.....

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

What effect does ALT+RETURN have?
That's the standard way of switching between windowed and full-screen modes.

OK it works, good to know, thanks, looks like I must be missing some relevant thing. Much reading ahead. :encouragement:

Dave ALT Return works as normal, however I run 2 and sometimes 3 monitors. On monitors 2 & 3 I have things like Moving Maps Wx & planning etc.... Alt/Return would not allow me to do that as it blanks out the other monitors. Also running windowed but with the title bar hidden I get far better frame rates.

Everything with FSX is a compromise. :adoration:

Finally got it working OK - it had to be set in Win 8 compatibility mode and run as administrator. Simple as that.
