I released a model of Cessna 120 N2098V about 5 years ago for FS9 which was compatible with FSX. I decided to update it to a FSX Native project. The textures are all new and the VC is completeley redone. (If I did the math right I believe it qualifies as a 47 percenter
) My interest in this particular project was to make it as close as possible to the real deal. I soloed in N2098V at Gallatin Field in Bozeman Montana in the summer of 1948. I did add one thing not in the real plane in those days. Since N2098V was mostly used for flight instruction it did not have a turn and bank instrument, you were supposed to do a coordinated turn by the seat of the pants. I didn't like the resultant hole in the panel so I added the instrument. This project is basically complete but I won't release it for a while as I'm using it to test some new texture ideas. I don't know what happened to N2098V but a fellow simmer here at SOH posted pic's of it's sister ship N2099V which I recall was still active in Arizona.
The Handley Page HP-42 is one of those big cumbersome biplanes that make me go nuts. The exterior is almost complete and I have started texture mapping. I found very little documentation for the interior so I posted a plea here at SOH a few months back. Some were kind enough to respond with links to several British Historical Societies. I have corresponded with a couple and have received good data on the passenger compartment. These planes were the definition of elegant air travel. However, I still have only one photo of the cockpit which is not of much value. I will have to SWAG it if I don't find more data in the next couple of months.
