You could try setting DitherFoliage to 0 in. D3D8.ini. Not having been able to make the jump to VR yet, that's the best guess I have.

At present, I don't have anything that's ready to share, but it is definitely on its way. As seen in those screenshots, the biggest improvements will be to the sky and horizon haze, and I've also been spending time improving the clouds. While I think it's a huge improvement visually, I don't think any of it will have much impact on the technical side of getting VR working. However, if you can list out your issues specifically, and post screenshots if at all possible, I can see if I have any ideas.

So trees, distant terrain, and some additional bands are shimmering? Is it along the red lines, or in between them? Does this occur only in VR, or do you also see it on your monitor with no VR software running? Does it occur only in WOFF, or does it also happen in CFS3?

All the straight lines are shimmer, at the tree even a deformed spot in the red square and the edge of the vertical tree-trnk . The edge of the mountain and rooftop of the hangars. Cockpit like the rim around the instruments shimmer also but much lesser.
It appears only in VR mode
WoFF, as I do not have at this moment CFS3 installed, since nov2018 I only play in VR games exclusively (race/flysims) and now trying to go back.
If you like I can post my CP adjustments.

Edit: I will try to make a video, this is for me new, so please have patience.

Sorry but to make a video with free capture software is not possible, because it give the much better monitor video or it does not work.

Does the shimmer have a specific color? Or does its color match a specific piece of the scene? It's hard without being able to see it for myself, but I understand the issues we're up against in being able to show the issue.
