So we've got this RAF Exchange officer on our staff....(Squadron leader if you're interested)....

So anyways, I start to tell him about my trip to Circuit Of The Americas & he tells me to "hold on...."
Then he comes back tells me (long story short) that he grew up with & still maintains a friendship with James Toseland!

It's a small world in many ways Ed, and Motorbike racing is quite a tight group.
Toesland was a pretty good Superbike racer, a World Champion, but he never really made the cut in MotoGP, shame really.
Speaking of Superbikes, I watched the Monza round recently, the pucker factor was around 11+ ........ and that was just me!
Speeds were peaking at some 210-215MPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And re COTA, have you given any thought to getting there this coming weekend?
The 'V8 Supercars' are running one of their rounds in Texas, probably not on the full circuit but I'm thinking you'd enjoy some different tintop racing.
