Wondered when we'd do something like this

Congrats to those involved!

That ought to put a hurting on the funding of the Taliban. :)

won't make much of a dent in the product that is exported from there, but it's a start. besides, anything that hurts the taliban is a good thing.

This is great news. Good to hear.

The President of Afghanistan has been on CNN yesterday. They have been dealing with a huge internal civil war with them. Must be horrible to live in a small country that is having a war within its own borders, and is with a dark enemy that is using that land as a base of operations for trying to ruin the entire world.

Once Afghanistan is cleaned out, the enemy will be smaller. May the day come soon when such a dark, evil, cold enemy is gone, destroyed, wiped out....

horrible for the citizens who are subjected to the whims of warlords, yes.
the gov would probably find such problems not so bad if they stopped looking the other way in order to let others deal with it. i'd like to see some militant group based here try something in a foreign country and the gov not be held accountable for what originated in it's borders.

well, it certainly seems that they did get a free pass from the state dept.
however, i still have a hard time equating them with the long term evil dealt by muslim extremists like the taliban. for example, they know afganistan is where bin laden is, and was, he blew up the world trade center. yet we are not at war with the afganis for helping him, somehow.

just note that not every afgani is a taliban soilder or extremist and personaly helped bin laden by hideing him in there basement :kilroy:
