Fix?? What's broken??

Which A2A products are you talking about?

I have the Wings of Power Heavy Bombers and Jets, P-51s, P-47s for FS9 and wanted to port them over to FSX.
I understand rhere is a fix for porting over to FSX because of some issues.

I was able to get the WOP working on FSX without too much difficulty, I copied the files from my fs9 folder into the fsx folders, figuring out the effects and gauges were not too difficult, it worked reasonably well.

Some of the WoP2 aircraft have fully native FSX versions, which you can get by downloading the patches from the A2A forums. The Zero doesn't, I know that, and none of the WoP1 "bombers" pack do. Certainly the P-47, P-51D and Spitfire do, as I have all of those installed and running on my system.

There are significant problems with props and glass using the FS9 models in FSX, so you'll need tweaked transparencies for those. I don't know if any have been done already, sorry!

Cheers,

Ian P.

On my computer no patch or download provided by A2A completely fixes glass issues with the Bf-109. There are still panels that give the appearance of no glass.

To be fair, there are one or two other pay-ware designers with "FSX developed" WW2 era airplanes that exhibit the same problem "on my computer".

driver ver. 390.65

Speaking of WWII fighters I have all 5 but for some reason that i can't figure out the autopilot doesn't work on the Zero. Anyone know how to fix it. Swapped it out from all others and still will not work!

Dave,

Do you have this problem with the FS9 or FSX version of the A2A messerschmitte BF109E? The glass textures for the FSX version should be in dds format.

Cheers,

I have the Bf-109, P-47, P-51, P-40, and the Zero, all WW2 fighters from A2A. All of them are FSX dds format, excluding the Zero.

When all glass textures are in dds format, it seems the update has been installed correctly, I really don't know why you have this issue.
