Worth the wait?

Many people have been getting impatient (understandably for the fact that we want it SO badly) for the release of P3 and have even complained at the time it has taken. We've been told and certainly believe that the dev team wanted to make it as bug free and correct as possible. A lot of us appreciated that as too often, title are released before the bugs and kinks are effectively ironed out.

Just wanted to present an illustration. I got a news release in my email from Auran that Trainz 2009 have begun shipping. And, on the same page, it announces that SP1 has already been available for download that includes enhancements, improvements and bug fixes. I'm not slamming Auran, in fact I commend them for catching it early and getting it out right away, but I think it helps highlight what happens when you chase the dollar instead of perfection.

The devs have done it differently than most game producers and took the time to do it right because it's their passion more so than their bread and butter. I think this will prove ultimately to give them much more pecuniary reward than if they'd rushed it out to try and please everyone else and get a dollar quickly. They pleased themselves first, and when you do that, the rest will follow. :ernae:

Now we can complain to the distributors! :costumes:

Yes, CPIRRMAN, I'm sure, it doesn't lie in their hands anymore; now it's in the deliverers hands. When the dev's say, they have worked from evening to 4 o'clock in the morning, I believe them, and it must have stressed their relationships here and there quite a bit.
Everyone will definitely benefit from their enthusiasm and countless effort in the end. And no one has so far payed anything in advance. I'm pretty sure, the most of us don't have even made a donation, although we all enjoy P2 intensively; so, were should the right for complaints come from?
P3 is so damn close now certainly, and, over the Christmas days, we have so many other "social duties" - let's all wait a little longer. I'm sure, it will be greatly rewarded in the end.
And, as someone will sure write it anyway to this "speech", I might as well do it myself: AMEN !

Thank you for what you have done ALREADY giving us P2; "Winding Man", "OvS", "Polovski", "Makai", "Shredward", "Parmaa", and everyone else involved in making this great combat sim. :applause: Merry Christmas to you all and your families.
