WOW-Sleeping on the job???

Can we all say 'DUMBASSES' together now. Some people in this word just make me feel a whole lot smarter then I think I am. LOL:icon_lol:

Hi,

Not the first time airliner crew fell asleep (Remind me a not so far same event in India)

That's not a big problem .... provided they have the autopilot ON and enough fuel to go somewhere when awekening

Are you talking about the pilots, or are you talking about the airlines that often run a crew policy, that causes fatigue among their personel?

We'll see if that "heated discussion over airline policy" is on the cockpit voice tapes, or just snoring. :icon_lol:

Wow...don't bells and whistles go off on the FMC or something if the airliner if off course? Actually i guess not...at least according to flight sim :p

Surprising that such a basic alarm is not built in if the plane strays off the flight plan...

My bet will be on the snoring:icon_lol:

To be a little more serious though, pilots taking a "nap" happens more often than the passengers would like to think of.
Tired airline pilots are an all to common event, unfortunately.
