You could image praise that was sent, as he was over the moon finding this hard work had been captured in FSX

Getting Messages like this make painting more enjoyable

Nice, a compliment from a crew on a ch47, you can't get much better than that. Great work on your repaints Matt.

Great to see your work being viewed like that Matt, fully deserved imho.

Your commitment to the Military paints is outstanding.

Cheers.

Awesome indeed, I had a similar experience a year or so back doing a paint for the the was Alphasim B-24, the scheme was "Mables Labels" and the grandson of Mable got intouch with me to thank me.

His grandmother worked for the USO and won a competition to get painted on the aircraft.

The painting was done by S/Sgt Sarkis E. Bartigan of Cocktail Hour, Dragon and his Tail and Ain't so Funny fame.

Very humbling.

That is awesome, Jeansy (and Bruce), thank you for sharing that!

It also reminds me of when my brother-in-law saw some screenshots of the old Aerosoft A-10 sporting nose art that he had actually painted back during his service in England (10th TFW) in the 80's on the particular example that one of the included paint schemes depicts (including remembering sending out the gatling gun barrel to be chrome plated, which was also duplicated in the Aerosoft recreation). The nose art features an eagle holding a tommy gun (this, as I recall, was the CO's aircraft): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/46/A10a-81-0979-10tfwCC-1990.jpg
