WOZZA T-6 repaint planning and showcase topic

SOH-CM-2023
Hiya,

Just saw John release the paintkit of the Wozza T-6. Though it may be a good idea for a separate topic (this one :kilroy:) were you can tell which repaint you plan and show the progress.

To avoid double repaints and get all repaints in one topic. Hope you guys find this a good idea and use this topic.

Myself have the following repaints in progress:
- Update of my current repaints: PH-MLM, PH-LSK, PH-IIB, PH-TBR and N13FY
- FUA (Uruguayan Air Force) Cammo harvard/texan (No. 372)

:jump: Let the repaints begin! :jump:

Mind words of John:
Don't rush and try and to get a repaint out as fast as possible, just so that you can beat someone else to the punch - you'll do a much better job than the other guy anyway if you spend more time at it.

Regards,

Marcel

Good idea Marcel, so far I had only considered to do a Belgian T-6. I was thinking about the T-6 with registration number H-223 from the Colonel Nossin's demonstration team.

Cheers,
Huub

PS: great paint kit John!! Many thanks!!:ernae:

Sylvain looking great!!

Myself busy now with the FAU repaint, converting it from my own basic repaintkit to John's versions takes time

Personally love the SEA cammo on these Texan's, they operated them until in the 1990!!

First shot (WIP) with John's repaintkit (will keep my own inner-cockpit textures/colours), still have to add the roundel, serial etc.

just started work on this... David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd fame)'s SNJ-7C but applied to Wozzas T-6, still got to bring in the new bump maps and do the spec maps but i'm a long way from that yet (Still working the main colour areas) :)

David Gilmours SNJ-7C shaping up, still a fair bit to do but the Navy Chaps i'm sure will want this one too (Even though it's a British based bird) :icon_lol: onto getting her done!

oh, and next up is a HAF example :)

oh, and next up is a HAF example :)

Please do!:jump:

I was the one asking John for a paintkit in order to do some HAF birds but work will not allow me to these summer months. Your skills will certainly produce a nicer result. There are several cases with yellow or red stripes on the wings and plain silver ones too. In the end I think they got NATO grey green camo. The problem is the spinner in this model, which the HAF did not have.

i'm sure we can come up with something for the spinner that suits, maybe just continue the metal or to match the stripes :kilroy:

Where's the paintkit?

Fellas,

Help me out and point me to John's paint kit for the Texan please?

Thanks,
Mike

well that's G-BRVG nearly done... just minor parts now (like de-alpha-ing the exhaust area so much, and tailwheel mount, and add alpha to canopy rear, but apart from that, pretty much there), should hopefully be uploading tonight...

ok i call her done, just sent her to my personal Alpha/Beta tester; Martin to wring out and give a look over, but here she is banked above my painting hub at my now re-comissioned (at least virtually) Soesterberg AB :icon_lol: if report back is good i'll be uploading it this evening...

First repaint with the new repaintkit almost finished:

Uruguay Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya), Brigada Aérea II, Grupo de Aviación No. 1, circa 1987

Cockpit and pilot :cost1: are also (re)painted. :salute:

Release planned this weekend.

Not sure if I should put this in this thread, I added an exhaust flame and red lights for the pilot and co-pilot, it is just too dark for nite time flying. If anyone is interested I can upload the flame and config for red interior lights. I know this is sacred ground when it comes to this model and I don't want to insult any of the purest here But I thought it looks good and wanted to share.
