WWI era flying and Fs9, eg AEG GIV

Hi Folks,
Been playing around with IL-2 WWI ac and porting one across to test the waters. There are a lot of WWI IL-2 ac out there, some beautiful texs, and look good in Fs9/CFS2.

BUT they are slow and fairly ungainly...is there the interest in it/them?

The below AEG GIV german bomber is an example that I've converted. The conversion takes time, but easier with less things to re-build and re-animate, but it does take a lot of time/effort to do the VC and 2D panels.

Shessi,
I tend to love individual aircraft rather than specific eras of flying. For example, I love the work than Stephan Scholz has done recently to bring new WWI aircraft into CFS2, but my interest there is the floatplanes rather than the big bombers. Again, your new Arado is one that I am really looking forward to adding to my hangars.

I would be interested enough to download them and put them in my hangar. Hard to say if I'd actually fly them since I get so little hobby time and spend almost all of it fiddling with aircraft and scenery instead of flying. Even though sometimes I'd rather be flying. I have many great aircraft that I haven't found time to fly because I do so much fiddling instead. A compulsion, I guess. So I would want to fly them. Whether I would find the time to do it is another question.

Indeed yes!!

WWI a/c would be very welcome and I for one am rather enthusiastic about that period of aviation history and bombers & floats included; not to mention the golden age as well - the period immediately after, and prior to WWII. Indeed, I, and I am sure many other as well would be most appreciative of your efforts of any of the great war era a/c models as much as we are already of your WWII a/c models. Thanks a bunch!!

And I'm an enthusiastic follower of 'The Great War in The Air'.
I keep a modified version of Golden Wings on one drive almost exclusively loaded with whatever WW.1 aircraft I have collected.
Be highly impressed and grateful if you take on any CFS2 conversions Shessi.

Hi Shessi,

As you're probably aware there's been quite a few WWI additions to CFS2 lately. A Flanders scenery package and Stuart Green's Staaken R.VI will be released soon.

A CFS2 version of the AEG G.IV will definitely be a welcome addition. Martin Klein has built up quite an inventory of German WWI gauges as well.

Shessi, your great work is always more than welcome, great to see that "old" cfs2 is kept alive, play it almost every night and as an ex-aircraft mechanic (props) love those "slow" planes.

Yes please, I love the large ungainly WWI & and even earlier craft.
I have a separate FS2004 for Vintage craft & another for WWI as well.

So, yes, I would love the older low 'n slow's.
