Hello
A mate has got an X52 and he has CFS3 set up on a newish computer, ready for P3.- also FSX And trackir 4.
he has the pedals as well.
He has a problem - we tried to map F12 to a x52 button, but it wouldn't take.
I knew about closing down trackir whilst we did it, but that wasn't it.
In fact, we then found that we couldn't map any key to a button on the X52, in CFS3 or FSX.
It's not apparent what we are doing wrong, if anything.
This is on VISTA 32 Home --( An XP man myself, thank goodness ) - could it be that?
So far, we have not loaded the Saitek software.

Any ideas, fixes please?

While I am of no help here, I do recall a similar issue I had trying to get CH pedals to work with a Logitech 3D stick. CH tech insisted I had to load their software (bloatware?) and they eventually were proven correct. The combo worked intermittently as the stick seemed to revert to it's Z axis control on every boot.
When all else fails, a system restore can sometimes get things back to where they were.
