Hey,

It has been discussed on Russian forum already. My question is how you can fit GPS into the VC of a Yakovlev 40? The source code is public due to unfortunate death of the author (got released by family or friends). I am not programmer, and I realise it is a hard process.

This is a very good plane and it would be a shame to see it ignored. It was not only used in Russia but also in many others countries in bloc. Problem is the only official navigation system is trough NDB and VOR which is close to impossible on vatsim flights due to pesky controllers. Autopilot will not be able to follow the GPS in real plane either but it would be nice to have for reference purposes.

Avsim Russian site is down right now so I cannot provide link. Plane has a full english manual if any westerners interested to fly it.

The site is up again-->www.avsim.ru

Which one is it??->depending on that we can check

If VC is §d with knobs and so on (Sprunov) modelled then mostly no

Yeah, add the KLN to the SD Yak-40 will be a great addition to this fantastic addon. Sadly this addon need love from any skilled developer in order to finish the port to FSX.
This addon have the best manual in english for a russian addon. As a former Yak-40 pilot, Igor Supronov made an amazing work and you can feel that he put tons of love in this addon.

I will make a proposal on fsdeveloper this evening. If it doesnt get picked up in Russia then the west is the last resort. However you are welcome to post the topic as well if you want the process to be faster. All this plane need is a KLN90 and some buttons to be fixed, otherwise it is perfect.
