Just announced the other day, here it comes:

298_2.jpg

Canadair CL215 Water Bomber, depicting Buffalo Airways C-FTXB. These are texture files only! Prior installation of Massimo Taccoli's fine CL215, available at flightsim.com, filename 'mt215fs9.zip' is required.

During season in 2009, it operated in the mediterranean area, Turkey, Greece and Spain to support the local fire fighting aircraft. It must have been a special kind of "Transatlantic Passage"...

Man -this box type of aircraft sure is ugly as hell. I like it! :jump:

The real thing:

Just uploaded to flightsim and SOH.
Have fun!

Cheers,
Markus.

Looks like CYYT via LPAZ on 14 Mar 2009, but I didn't find any information after that.

Thank you, guys!

"Status: result unknown" sounds like this Scooper didn't made it across the pond, but some pics of C-FTXB at airliners.net show him in the Mediterranean in summer 2009...

@ Railrunner130:
I compared Massimo Taccoli's CL215 and the one made by Team FsFrance thoroughly and decided to take his model. It seemed like the slightly "better" rendition to me, but this is of course a question of personal taste...

It's available now:

I believe Flightaware is only good for flight plans within, departing, or arriving in North America, so it is not unusual to lose track of a tail number or flight after reaching its first destination upon leaving a US or Canadian airport.

I think we can safely assume C-FTXB made it to Spain or elsewhere in the Med.
