This evening I did someting I not often do. Tired from flying biplanes and WWII warbirds, I took a jet out of the hangar. And when I saw this one, I was suddely almost 35 years back in time.....

Its Kirk Olsson's original model, but in the years this model has been available tweaked with everything available.

Another one from same the stable. Kirk's model can't compete with the newest FSX releases by Aerosoft and IRIS, but after all the years this model has been available it is still a very pleasant ride! And for the best price posible :d

Agreed Huub. Did anyone ever do photoreal skins for this bird? Perhaps Lucien would give this a consideration.

It is my favorite in FS2004. I have FSX's AeroSoft F-16, which is outrageous good, but frame rates are slower too.

Fine shots Huub. :applause:

Fnerg, Kurt's textures are hard to paint, the wrap on the fuselage makes some paints impossible. Also the ventral fins are mirrored, so one can do little there if any script text is seen. It would be hard doing a photo-real paint.

That is my setup too. However my framerates are fine with the aerosoft F-16. They actually are hgiher at times than some other addons that are less complex.

One of my favorite a/c for running "intercepts" using the working radar....good stuff !

Smoothie.

I think you,ll find the new Dutch demo scheme is already available over at Simviation, at least for FS2004. I presume you mean the mainly orange scheme.

Regards Paul Day.

yeah saves me one job but i plan on re-doing J-016 and J-055 preferred them 2 schemes to the current 'orrid orange

When you look in the file libraries from the major Flightsim sites, you can find almost every special livery or tail artwork ever done on a F-16 :isadizzy:.

A small overview of the solo display aircrafts from the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Its a pity they are done for the standard F-16 and not for the one with the chute. The J-015 with the Dutch lion in orange painted on it, should even been for the two seat version.

Nevertheless they make a nice view!
