• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Update on laptop. On surfing the net for sony vaio problems, came across a site that said there was a manufacturing fault with certain vaio models, got in touch with sony UK, they came took my laptop away, fixed it (i hope) and its now on its way back should arrive in 1/2 days.even though its 10 months out of warranty, So i would just like to thank one and all for the help in my previous thread, PMs, and emails you sent and the help/encouragement you gave me, THANKS EVERYONE.

Just a thought....When you get the laptop back, buy a big usb stick and

Or burn it to CD/DVD. Set mine back a month or few when I got lazy and then installed Win7 to my XP drive, aarrghhhh :banghead: But let's hope you got a result!
 
You're telling me, china! My C-drive turned up one corrupt file the day before yesterday... Fixed it now, but that drive - it's not that old, either - is looking at the recycle bin...
