You want to do what?

This may be viewed as downright blasphemy but I'm desperate, lol. . .Is there any way to override the CHT (Cylinder head temp) overheating in Bill Lyons Quad City Challengers? I love the airplanes, and as real as it get's is terrific and all that, but sometimes you just want to enjoy a flight and not be constantly flying with one eye on the CHT to make sure you don't go too fast or push the airplane too far (60kts tops in the float plane).

So I'm asking. . .is there a cheat code for this, lol.?

I 'think' you can adjust temperatures in the config file Falcon.. I'll ask my gauge guru.
Bill
If you've never flown these very much Bill, this is what happens. . .if the CHT runs to the red for much more than a minute or so, the engine fails. No restarts, you have to reselect the aircraft and start from scratch. I went into the airfile and found the section on the CHT and played with the settings there. I was able to keep the temp from rising out of the green, however after about 10 minutes of flying the engine still failed, even though visually, the temp never got to the critical level.

What I have in the back of my mind is that this is hard coded into the model and can't be changed. Not sure (and that's why I asked) but I think that might be the culprit.

Or, search for a field,
trim to best glide speed,
notify FSS/ATC if possible,
execute a forced approach,
call banker on cell phone to get loan for new Rotax,
call wife and explain why you'll be late for dinner AGAIN!

(which button on the cell phone do you press to "Reselect Aircraft"?)

You got a gauge thats killin it...look in panel.cfg and comment out
Correctomundo Krazy. You da man. Finding it was pretty easy based on the function it performs. Commented out, then flew from Miramar to the USS Stennis for an Ultralight "trap", all while holding the CHT at redline with no engine failure. Well Done. . . .oh and for all you newbies out there. . .PLEASE. . .
"Do not try this at home. . .I am a professional", lol
