"z" files

Good afternoon all -

In another forum, and for another sim, I have recently downloaded some zipped files that have a "z" on the end of them. Has anyone here seen anything like this before, and what program can you use to open them? My standard WinZip, and the 7zip don't work either.

These 'z' files and folders have bee compressed using UNIX.
