Another great weekend at the track in the Zandvoort dunes, with plenty of historic and unique cars. Here are a few highlights:

The experimental 4-wheel driven Lotus 63:

Great photos Ferry, looks like a fantastic day.

I could have been a fantastic day, but it was overshadowed by a very heavy accident in the 1966-1985 Formula 1 race. Frenchman David Ferrer lost control in his 1970 March 701 in the last corner of the first lap, and was possibly (I didn't see the actual accident) by another car. His was was ripped to shreds and David was resusitated on track and taken to hospital for further treatment. I don't know how his current condition is, but looking at the wreckage and the huge amount of rescue workers on the scene (Including a medical helicopter) it can't be good. Of course it is a risk you take while driving these old cars, but it still was a shocking incident.

Ferry, I saw a 5 minute video on FB yesterday, of a guy driving Clarks car through town on its way to the track, kind of cool to see it going down streets in town, lol

That used to be common practice in the early days of the Dutch GP; all sorts of F1 and sports cars would drive through the streets each days during the race weekends as the teams favored the local garages to house their teams.
