PHP Battleships

Still on the subject of Pearl Harbor - were the PHP battleships completed? They comprise of the USS Arizona, California and Oklahoma as well as the repair ship Vestal.

The California and Oklahoma are complete while the Arizona is fragmented and the Vestal is merely a hull. All are partially textured.

I know we already have the VN Arizona of 1921 vintage and the California. Here the Arizona appears as she was in 1941.

I think the three completed battleships would be worth adding to our inventory.

Any hope to see this Ships in the Future in a Ship pack?

The PHP ships package had the SHA_STLOUIS, SHA_MARY(land), SHA_NEVADA, SHA_TENNESSEE, SHA_OMAHA,

Talon's Missions package had the SHA_CALI(fornia)

Are these different models than the VN models of the same ships or are they the same?

They are different ships. From my understanding the SHA were made for PHP and the VN for PHP2.Both were done by The Virtual Navy.

Hi guys,

These Battleships look great!
I'm wondering if I can wish to have these US BBs in shape with after major overhaul and modernization.
If we can have those in future, they will be great add-on for missions for later part of war during the period of 1944-45 in Philippines, Iwo-jima, Okinawa etc.

Unfortunately, I have no talent to build it but I'm wishing if anyone who has a talent will have an interest to consider making them in future.

Anyways, thank you kdriver for giving us excellent ships.

These ships are actually contained in the both the original and updated PHP scenery package. They are in the library file php_bbs.bgl which is located in the SCENEDB/INF/scenery folder.

I don't know how to open bgl files,so which ships are in it? The SHA or VN?

Neither. Kevin means the ships in the pics he posted. I can't get them to show up in MB but I can see the code in the decompiled sca file.

Model Converter X may be able to open the .bgl so you can view the ships.

I did that and converted them to .3DS files so they can be opened in GMAX. I think that's about the limit of my ability at this stage.

The following textures are used:

ARIZ_DMG_HULL.bmp
DECK_DMG_HULL.bmp
OKLA_HULL.bmp
DECK.bmp
GIGTEXTURE.bmp
RAIL.bmp
SUPER_RAIL.bmp
