Beware of the NVIDIA 361.75 driver set.

It causes transient flashing in FSX-A.
Apparently in the steam variant, too.

Thanks for the warning, they just notified me to download it. However 361.43 flashes too and I don't have a clue how to stop it.

I was fine with that one.
The issue has been reported, but whether they'll do anything is anyone's guess.

Uninstall it and download an older version from last summer. Unless you're using Windows 10, of course.
