Beautiful weekend here in the "zone". Unfortunately, I spent all day painting the guest bedroom. Tomorrow I tackle the kitchen!

Did as little as possible.

I did, however, take the soft top off of my '54 Willys CJ3B Jeep, and rode around the neighborhood. Am hoping to get it repainted this summer, if the finances allow for it. My plan is to make it look like a USN Shore Patrol jeep. Won't be authentic, obviously, as my jeep was never military. But it will look cool! NC:very_drunk:

After finishing the plumbing under my new kitchen sink on Friday I spent Saturday morning with my head under a friends kitchen sink, after replacing it with my old one. That brought the end of my kitchen remodeling a bit closer.

Today, I finally got to sleep in.

Then cut some base boards for the Kitchen and dining room.

Towards the end of the afternoon I finally got some time to install FSX-SE, so that I can start some multiplayer sessions with a Flightsim newbie friend.

Worked as a Comms Official [Jafo] at the opening round of the World Superbikes at Phillip Island. [Australia] [about the 27th that I have done]...;)

I was down there too Jafo. Great weekend of racing! Had a friend Jess Watkins come off at turn 1 (180+ km/h) Luckily she is fine, but the bike is going to need some extra love.

Next weekend....off to the RAAF Museum, Point Cook to drop off some of my fathers stuff for them to display.

At Ysterplaat Air Force Base, Cape Town, where they have a start-up of the only Shackleton MR Mk3 left in the world that is still airworthy, but will not fly again.

Long story, the flight plan, real, was DFW-DEN, (hold for two days) , DEN-DFW-NRT, Tokyo Narita. The back story: we were going to Tokyo for my nephew's wedding. My wife got sick in the airplane, diverted to DEN. One night in the hospital, one day to recoup, then complete the trip. We missed the wedding. We met the happy couple today. They are delightful. The last time I saw the nephew, he was about 6.

I've studied in the morning ( Airframes and Systems - ATPL) . Bad weather here :(
Afternoon : Flying club with mates.

Happy to see that there's ALSO not virtual-world addicts here ( the bulk of the members I think).

Put some 'tupperware' (plastic body panels) back on my bike, tightened up a few nuts, checked the tire pressures, and . . . . . went for a ride. :applause:

Rode my KTM over to Phillip Island for the first round of the World Superbike Championship.
Friday-Saturday-Sunday, best way to spend a 'long weekend' as we only live 30 minutes (fast) ride away.

So....where were you hanging out? I was radio/flag at 6.5 right [outfield in Siberia] .....had several visitors....wrote 4 incident reports...;)

Did some very serious cycling in the freezing wind, watched football (soccer) and took my family to a restaurant.

Did try to find information about the missing gauges in Dutcheeseblend's Fokker T.V and worked a bit on the early Fokker D.XXI textures, struggled a bit with Akemi's CFS2 Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien and visited the SOH several times of course :biggrin-new:

I guess next weekend won't be much different....

Cheers,
Huub
