Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer died. Very bad year for musicians so far. Certainly one of the best keyboardists out there.
Saw them twice, once was probably the first concert in the 70s after they figured out they could no longer afford to drag the orchestra around with them:frown-new:, 2nd was my intro to... oh who cares.

Anyhoo- an aviation tie-in. Keith in the back of a Spitfire.

And Keith soloed in a couple of aircraft.

71 is no age. Though I suppose we have now well and truly entered an era whereby many modern icons of rock music will be saying goodbye.

Sadly, looking like lead poisoning (suicide by gun). Apparently he had health issues.

Yeah... I remember ELP from the late 60's and early 70's. I used to listen to their music when I was a college kid. I saw them in concert a few times and watched Keith push a little red spinet piano around the stage as he played it. I reckon time catches up with us all sooner or later. Keith Emerson was one of the best keyboard players in the biz.
