• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

What a great Find DV,

"Hey John, in ref to KA-6 intruder I found this one in the RAZ freeware.
There were restrictions on the weps when they were released. '05 I don't know how that stands now."

We shall see what we can do about perms.

Thank all of Ya'll for the efforts on this project.

Dave

dvslats and No Dice

Let me know if you don't get perms. If all else fail I'm thinking I could make them for you.

Just let me know and where to find the info on the weapons or weapons you can't get perms so I can use them as a ref.

Also some updates:
I can now see the coast on the Tonle Srepok River, about 100 miles to go.
If I ever take on another river this long,( over 1000 miles) someone please just shot me.

Have done some minor conversions so far for "Rolling Thunder", well at least lining up the runways
and updating the A/C's etc. I will release a few for those that want to dig in and make them better.

Thank you all for your support on this project.

Hang in there No Dice. :loyal:

This will work! :victorious:

Until you try to link up in your player model and run into the dreaded collision bubble issue that forces the AI tanker to follow collision aversion coding and suddenly veer away if you get too close. I suppose we'll just have to settle for getting within 50 feet as a successful hook up.

Nice idea though...gives me the itch for refueling sessions in my legacy jet sims.

Ummm, it can be done. :pride: The F-8 is the player aircraft. A-6 is a separate flight made in MB. Collision bubble=1
No slew. I needed a long straight track to finally match speed and altitude.
Keeping the probe in the drogue is the hard part. But isn't it always? :distant:

Allen, I don't think it needs anything else at the moment. Thanks for doing her up right. :)

It really was not easy getting lined up for the hook up guys. It's getting dark in the screenshot and I started the mission mid afternoon. :fatigue:
Next time I'll try AP to hold the speed and altitude. Cfs2 can be twitchy in the flight controls department.

@ Blood Hawk, there is a gauge "Cfo_Gauges.gau", "Cfo_Gauges!Refuel_Dump" with the ability to dump fuel and refill during flight.
This could simulate the refueling process.

It's included in most of KM's p-47s.

There are three hot spots made into the gauge. It's the one in the lower left hand corner of the picture.

You guys are great, guess my next project will be to start updating some of the panels
with the refuel gauges.

Have a great and safe week.
