A2A T-6 Texan Released!

Isn't it funny what they glued to the undersides, about the only thing missing now is a couple of beer barrels :untroubled:

Will ask a very good friend of mines where they used to carry the beer barrels....perhaps under left wing and napalm on the right one. You know, we love to improvise.

Not intending to buy A2A plane but the Portuguese skin is very tempting...:untroubled:

Jan Kees, thank you for the Italian paint! I hope that you'll do some more AMI birds. it's a pity that A2A did only the G restored version, I don't think it should have been a big effort to add at least an Harvard
version with no-modern panel ( being a so expensive addon!!!). IMHO we have a big product, BUT the story and the fame of this aircraft wasn't made by RESTORED planes with a nice girl in the rear seat
instead of a tough flight instructor. I'll repeat : A2A did a great job, I bought it the same day of the release and I hope that Mister Scott will consider an extension to this product covering at least the Harvard
and the Texan with old-style panel.

Started on a couple of others last night, again RNZAF, and again still in the metal, the biggest thing is the interest in this one aircraft, its quiet impressive:adoration:

menef,

maybe I will, I have one other Italian planned, I-SSEP, I hope that's OK too.
And yes, I agree, just the big Harvard exhaust would have been great too!
Meanwhile, two others nearing completion:

Thank you Jan Kees ( I-SSEP is fine !!!)

Does anyone know if the gray paint scheme that is on the MAAM Texan is correct for an SNJ or is it more of an imitation of an SBD?

For those that know more than me, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe it is an authentic SNJ mainland coastal patrol paint scheme (I believe the "NATC" on the tail stands for "Naval Air Training Command", thus based State-side). It is perhaps the only WWII-era configured/painted SNJ/T-6 flying today, that I'm aware of, which has bombs mounted below the wings to the stock WWII-era bomb mount positions.
