I happened upon this collection of seaplane tour downloads while searching for something else. A series of four downloads were released in 2008. They look interesting! NC

That is one of four that go around the country. Obviously works only with default vector. Chris also made three other packages.

Yep, had forgotten about these. He went by MoCat in the forums and did some really nice scenery beyond just this one. I'm running Orbx Basic and Vector Landclass and may give this a go just to see if it really won't look good in something other than default. Since I run mostly P3D_V3.2 now, it's possible it won't work, simply because the objects won't show any longer, but it's worth a shot.

These are shots of KOLD (DeWitt/Old Town) in both P3D (with the Searay) and FSX (In the Cessna). There are obvious problems with elevations in both. As a matter of fact, were it not for the change of aircraft, you wouldn't be able to tell which is which. I checked for any elevation corrections in Orbx and there were none. The AFCAD's were done in ADE so possibly if I run it through the latest version it may correct itself (I had a similar problem with another airport that was corrected in this way).

It doesn't appear that loading the AFCAD into the latest ADE and recompiling has any effect. What can be done is to use Instant Scenery to adjust those objects in the scenery that are below where they should be. Time consuming, YES, worth it. . .if this is a favorite scenery package and you'd like to hold onto it, I guess. Now, having said all that, you could load this package on your rig and find nothing wrong at all. That's why Flight Sim, be it FS9, FSX or P3D. . . . .IS SO MUCH FUN!! lol. . .Up to you!

Couple of others. His Caribbean scenery is really nice but, again, it's hard telling how it would work with vector. And Snow Dogs, same thing. When I flew FS9 Golden Wings I used a lot of his scenery from The Old Hangar. Very nice. I still get nostalgic for all that especially with the great stuff from the Ford project added in. Too many flights to make. Not enough hours in the day.

I've got default scenery and installed the Lands End and Snow Dogs sceneries.

They're really nice IMO. He's using some great object libraries in these. Lots to find at each location.

I'm going to try to fly around the US from airport to airport. Should keep me occupied for quite a while.

Thanks to NC for turning me on to these.
