The new project from AH

What! Wait! The older one was FSX native? My disk version certainly isn't! :sorrow:

I don't think so it's an old model, it was build from the beginning as the new one.

Interesting. My folder is titled "JFFSX_Mosquito" and the model.cfg has these entries:

[models]
normal=ah_boac
interior=ah_boac

However, cheapskate that I am, I think I just got the free (BOAC) demo, which is the FS9 model.

Well if we can't do better after 8 years (since the first Mossie), we probably need to leave the field.:engel016:

quantum leap ‎(plural quantum leaps)

  1. (physics) The discontinuous change of the state of an electron in an atom or molecule from one energy level to another

I challenge you to move less than that! Unless you're like me on a Sunday morning...

No thanks, I'll just stick with the Webster's. Besides if you're an electron it could be a bloody long way.:engel016:

The Mosquito is progressing well and we hope to release it shortly. We've added a full set of screenshots to the in-dev page on our website. Here are a few of the new pics:

Looks good, but it shouldn't have the strengthening bar behind the wing on the left side of the fuselage.

Ouch, I just noticed that when I looked at the new pictures at the JF site. I really feel pity for Bazz and his team as this is not exactly a nice thing to be confronted with, when you already have finished most textures.....

But the model looks really good and I think you will not able to see the additional strengthening bar while flying from the VC

That's the right hand side....

BTW, do you think it's ok for a Senior Admin to call another member a "bloody muppet" ?

Could anybody show me, with an arrow or something, what this reinforcement strap is exactly please ?

No need to get angry on each other. You are both correct, but Wombat you are pointing towards someting different than Dave did.

The reinforcing strap, mentioned by Wombat, goes over the complete top of fuselage. However the bar mentioned by DaveWG is only present on the right side of the fuselage

See the pictured below which shows the bar on one side and the other side without the bar.

The side with the bar (indicated by the arrow)

And the side without the bar

And personally I'm convinced that Bazz prefers to hear this now, than have a lot of comments after the the model is officially released.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks a lot, Huub, for showing that. Very appreciated :)

I checked a few pictures on Google and indeed this reinforcement bar in only on one side... anybody knows the reason for this ?

Don't know for a fact, but as a structural engineer I would guess it is a compensation for the opening and loss of structural continuity due to the hatch that exists only on the left side.
