new plane to be modeled fellas, and ladies.the Diamond Dart 450,is a carbon fiber/composite 2 seat aerobatic, civilian, military trainer.i know i want one now..looks fun to fly,and would be a nice civie plane for the Embraer A29.

Neat looking thing. I wonder what the down-turned stab tips do?
I guess form does follow function...It's getting harder to tell the various trainers apart now. Not like the old T-28's and T-34's!

I wonder what the down-turned stab tips do?

In a conventional layout (wings in front, elevator in back), the horizontal stabilizers are usually inverted airfoils, actually producing a small amount of downforce. If you put up-turned winglets on the main wing to increase efficiency, why not put down-turned winglets on the horizontal stabilizers? I'm actually surprised nobody's done it before now.
