Just Curious...anyone ever try this simulator?

Thought it might just be a repackaged copy of the openware (aka free) Flightgear but the graphics are pretty amazing.

Sure it's not just a repackaged copy of the openware (aka free) Flightgear?

Positive it is not...it started as a European simulator only but has expanded it's coverage. Steam would not sell a product that has been falsified anyway.

I'd look at it again if it shows signs of maturing, but not in its present form, which is as mentioned 'Early Access'.
:encouragement:

The original "Aerofly" which I have seen advertised for years always looked spectacular, with photoreal aircraft and scenery as default.

The original was limited to Switzerland only. The additional locations and features of the version 2 simulator look pretty good really. I probably won't go for it as I hardly have enough time to use the simulators I already have, but that would be the only reason.

Cheers,

I find it somewhat amusing that they have combined a 737-800 exterior with the vc from the 737-200C... :biggrin-new:

I've seen quite a few flaws...and I don't know if they are going to continue developing. It looks interesting though...
