Hawker Hind in FSX

Every so often I go looking for aircraft I haven't flown yet. Usually GA or Classics (I like the virtual wind in my hair. . . or what's left of it). This go-around I stopped at the Hawker Hind. A pretty nice model inside and out and done by Edward Cook for FS9. Aside from the prop blur which was a bit tacky, everything else looks and functions quite nicely. I did some work on the exterior and VC (new hi-res textures, panel lines, rivets, screws, etc) to add my own details to it and I'm really enjoying flying it a lot. I added an AP, however that is being a bit of a brat right now and so other than Alt hold it isn't much good for anything else, lol. The file name is hind_v02.zip at flightsim.com.

If you like that, have you tried the Hawker Fury from First class Sims Hawker Heroes, real nice?

Reminds me that I need to start back on the Hawker hector I started building for Rami (CFS2). Need a new rig first though. :(

I think Mr Cook did the whole range of these early Hawkers. now over 10 years old. They really could use a major overhaul for FSX and above imo.

He certainly did a great job of covering BTW Hawker aircraft.:encouragement:
Shame some of the 'Commercial' interests don't take these aircraft on, the best of the FCS releases is the Hawker Fury, I can only salivate over the thought of the Hart-Demon-Hind 'family done to their Fury standard.
And the thought of a Fury Mk.II almost results in a chubby!

Who or what is "FCS"?

FCS stand for First Class Simulations which is a payware publisher who have release a package called "Hawker Heroes". This package contains a very nice Hawker Fury.

First Class Simulations...

(Huub beat me to it.)
lol, Thanks Guys. . .I was already made aware of that site and in my early morning haze. . .forgot all about it. Need to go back to sleep and try again, lol. I looked the package over and while it has some excellent models, the only one I would have any interest in would be the Fury. Too bad it isn't available as a single. By the way Huub, I did download the excellent Heinkel He51. Really nice modeling and texturing job on that one.

The Fury is lovely "as is", but the other two types benefit from some of the repaints which, fortunately, are available.

This could use a few repaints from our really talented group of artistes ..........:encouragement:
The 'stock' paints are very good and it remains one of my all time favourite aircraft just the same.
