FSX wont install on my new computer

FSX delux, wont install on my new computer, error 1603 after 30 minutes or so
I am running 64 bit win 10, i7 duel core, 8gb's memory

looking for, MSKB928080.exe
or maybe,??? Resetsldl.exe

I am it pops up after 30 minutes operating, I'm sure it it can't hurt to install MSKB928080.exe

I cant even find the MSKB928080.exe , ms has killed the link,

it get stuck and after 30 + minutes saying "Removing Applications" when I click stop I get error 1603

Maybe try FSX-Steam? I had the boxed version installed for many years but not any more.... NC

Steam FSX works just fine on my Windows 10 machine.

Safe Mode?

Have you tried going into safe mode with networking to try installing the flight sim?

To get into safe mode type msconfig in the run command and then go to the boot tab and check the safe mode with networking.

Like Navy Chief, I've moved to Steam. It works fine on Windows 10, and frame rates are better.

Googling 'error 1603' brings up loads of replies, not restricted to FSX!

I have 3 fsx's and today i opened one which has never been opened and the same hang up

Try this link it worked for me three months ago after installing win 10 premium 64 bit. This program resets the installer to zero so that FSX can be reinstalled

I bought fsx steam and just downloaded it, gonna install my wingman stick now.

I am pleased, I have all settings maxed out and all is fine.
it took a bit to get my old stick calibrated, it hadn't been used since 2009.

I flew in st pete florida where i live and was surprised how accurate it is, even the roads and little lake i live by are there.

next i am gonna hook my 50" tv up to my new 17.3" laptop and see it in big screen mode
