Good morning,

Thanks to help from some CFS2 members working behind the scenes, I've progressed far enough to announce this. I have a few things in the pipeline for the Spring and Summer of 2017.

First, we're getting close to finalizing Devildog73's Meridian campaign as an auto-installer. That for me is priority one.

The Dakar mission set will be released upon completion of the updated panels by Gaucho_59, otherwise they are ready to go right now. I can send them to a couple of beta testers who are interested.

I also will be releasing an auto-installer of the Battle of Britain, hopefully before the Summer of 2017 once beta testing is complete. The Chianti Raiders / Corpo Aereo Italiano will also be included in the auto-installer. This is not only is this an overhaul of these three packages in the library, it will contain a boatload of new scenery, as well as updates to existing scenery in the package. New airfields will be included from Kdriver, as well as new Blitz and bomber missions, along with a British fighter mission or two. A couple of special missions are included at the request / discussion of UncleTgt and Kelticheart.

New scenery includes a completely revamped London, (Tilbury Docks, Royal Docks, Isle of Dogs) Belfast, The Clydebank, Liverpool, Barrow-in-Furess, Nottingham, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Coventry, Pembroke Dock, Calais, Boulogne, Dunkirk, Le Havre, Cherbourg, Dover, Brest, St. Malo, Lerwick, Felixstowe, Oban, Aberdeen, Southampton, Middlesbrough, Harwich, Hull, Lowestoft, Portland, Rochester, Ramsgate, Portsmouth, and Canterbury, as well as other scenery improvements.

I still have to do the GSL scenery for Newcastle, Sunderland, Plymouth, Swansea, Cardiff, and do a partial rebuild of Liverpool, but otherwise the scenery is all set.

There are a total of 261 missions right now that will be included in the package, which have also been updated, inspected, and completed. When the final seven missions are created and completed, that will expand to a final total of 268 missions. The German bomber campaign has been expanded to 41 missions and broken into two parts. A total of 13 campaigns will be included.

John,

Probably not that different. Aside from technological changes, the biggest change was the Tilbury docks, located Southeast of Hornchurch. The Tilbury docks saw major improvements and expansions during the 1920s. But the Royal Docks, the Isle of Dogs, and most of the buildings of Central London did not change much between the wars.

By the way, I finished Cardiff a couple of days ago and am currently working on Sunderland and Newcastle.

Typhoon,

Regarding anything in particular? London? Cardiff? Nottingham? Hull? The Clydebank?

Are you going to make the layouts available? I would be very interested. Also in any of the french GSL that doesn't have modern buildings. I realy need to get back into my WWI work.

John,

Yes, I have all of the layouts, and even a GSL gob list for every single layout included in my European GSL. It's pretty easy to hand-edit the layouts or edit them in mission builder to suit your purposes for WWI, and of course you would have my full permission to do so.

I would be happy make them available. Kevin and Captain Kurt also provided some simple grass fields for the Battle of France, which I will work on once some other projects are cleared out of the way. (Including the Battle of Britain)

I know that both Corbie and Perrone, for example, were critical to the Battle(s) of the Marne.

This is what I have so far...

Kurt,

No need to feel inferior. Here's the logic behind this...

I do these GSL cities and ports because when I do missions like attacking harbors and cities, I'm going to have to build them anyway for the mission. And if you're going to bother doing that, why not make them permanent? That way, you only have to do the work once.

Hence the reason why I also save layouts for ship anchorages and AA positions for these cities and harbors. Part of the reason why I am able to keep my productivity high is that I'm not having to do it from scratch every single time.

I have no idea of when you ever sleep, but a big THANK YOU. I'm looking forward to this. But that much said Rami, please do take care of your self. We already lost so many great souls, and YOU we certainly cannot be without. Better take some time on all this, and stay fresh and sound.

Finn,

Thank you, and no worries. I am heading into Boston this Thursday to discuss vascular surgery dates, and seeing a nutritionist the following Monday, to help tweak my diet to lose some additional weight, especially with a cranky thyroid. (I'm already down fifteen pounds) I have dedicated 2017 to improving my health, and not simply make it a "resolution." This is a full-blown commitment. I'm already working out four days a week. I've never smoked, and I don't drink hard liquor much at all, just the occasional brewski supporting my sports teams.

As far as these screenshots are concerned, you are seeing about three or four years' worth of work, not something done overnight. Scenery building, like mission building, can get tedious after a while, which is why I always have several projects going on at the same time. It helps eliminate burnout. What you are also seeing has contributions from Kdriver, Captain Kurt, and Kelticheart, especially with the British bases. (Like the Hornchurch shot, for example)
