A2A Connie is released!

She sure does,
For anyone interested in seeing how you paint the Connie see my thread "How to paint the Connie-or how I lost most of my hair" in the Connie section at the A2A forums.

Hi guys! Can someone put in the "to do" list a fictional Varig paint? It´s a Super Constelation in real life but it would be very nice as the A2A model is the best in virtual skies. Thanks!

Chicago Southern and Northwest had early Constellations 649/749, so it is close enough. Chicago Connies went to Delta after the merger. Northwest sold theirs quite soon, but received Supers later on. Upper surface on the early Northwest birds seemed to be silver at least according to the photos - same as with Stratocruisers at first. White top was applied to the Douglas 6/7s in effort to reduce the aircraft types in use. TWA bought two NW Connies.

Thank you for your repaints.

Hi Friends,
Just finished, I'll upload today....
This is a completely fictional livery, Alitalia never flew Connies, but....

Hi Friends,
After tha Alitalia's Connie, here is the one of Societa' Aerea Mediterranea, initially the Alitalia's charter division.
Obviously Societa' Aerea Mediterranea never flew "Connies" but if they had, they might have looked like this during '50.

Thanks Ian. Love this plane and love putting a bit of color on her.

Something for you other painters out there, there is a cool program called "Where are my Aircraft". This program lets you put your collected virtual planes in one place or airport. For me I can have all my Connie paints at one airport so I can go there and view them anytime. You can even walk up to one of them (with Bob or Avatar) and select it to fly.

I got this amazing program for six bucks at Sim Market and plane on doing some videos for GAS using it.

Available now, Skyways of London repaints. G-ARXE (L-149) & G-ANUP (L-749)

Skyways Limited was an early post-World War II British airline formed in 1946 that soon became established as the largest operator of non-scheduled air services in Europe.
Its principal activities included the operation of worldwide non-scheduled passenger and cargo services, including trooping and oil industry support flights, inclusive tour (IT) and ad hoc charters for automobile industry executives as well as specialist freight services. A number of financial reorganisations during the 1950s provided the funds for a major expansion of Skyways's activities and fleet, culminating in the buyout of the company in 1961 by Eric Rylands, LAC's former co-owner and managing director. Loss of a major freight contract that had accounted for 75% of Skyways's revenue, a failed investment in a regional Caribbean airline and an expensive aircraft lease led to renewed financial difficulties in 1962. This resulted in Skyways's takeover by newly formed charter operator Euravia the same year.
