Hey guys,

Despite working on the gunstations in the .dp, I keep having an issue with the SS_Adventure and Prinz_Heinrich turning and running, despite having "do not evade" settings. I've used Pen32Win's adjusted .dp files if there are any, and this has worked for the other ships. But not for these two. :dizzy:

Can someone please help here?

Prinz_Heinrich: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=42&id=6340

SS_Adventure: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=42&id=7269

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rami,

Try these DP's they work for me.

Regards,
B24Guy

Hi Rami.

This is just a guess, but each waypoint may need to have 'do not evade' ticked.

I do not think that the DP files are the problem (as long as there are gunstations)

Cheers,

Stuart

A surprise for Stuart277...a promise kept!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Missions Add-Ons

Description: Welcome to the Operation Leader 2.0 mission pack! This pack contains four historically-based missions for the United States Navy and one fictional mission for the German Luftwaffe depicting the two carrier strikes flown on 2 October, 1943 against-German-held Norway. The American carrier aircraft attacked shipping in & around Bodø and Sandnessjöen. The attacks were extremely successful, in part because they were able to strike without being detected, and careful planning was executed precisely to deceive the Germans into suspecting the attacks were launched from the Soviet Union. A further stroke of good fortune was achieved when a snowstorm helped to cover the USS Ranger's withdrawal & shield them from any reprisal attacks by the Luftwaffe.

This package has been revamped by Andrew "Rami" Talbot with Stuart277's blessing to include new skins by UncleTgt for the Donationware F4F Wildcat, the FDGv2 freeware SBD Dauntless, & Wolfi's new TBF / TBM Avenger set. Custom weather for each mission has also been included. An auto-installer has been created by "Rami" to allow for easier installation. Additionally, the carrier defense mission has been "flipped," allowing for the user to fly a torpedo attack mission from a German perspective, giving these missions at least one new look.

In the "permissions & readmes" folder, Stuart277's original mission documents have been preserved; he worked to provide excellent and precise details on the background, composition, and timeline of the raids, as well as the results. I would highly encourage you to take the time to read it!

In this package, you'll find all of the aircraft, weapons, scenery objects, airfields, new GSL scenery (Bodø and Sandnessjöen) by me, and other materials from Stuart277's original pack required to fly these missions. Those whose work is included in this package include Achim27619, Ajax, Stuart277, Shessi, Payakan, Wolfi, Xavierb, MaskRider, Psullykeys, the SOH Donationware team, the FDGv2 team, Serge Tremblay, Morton, Lawdog2360, Dbolt, Blackbird686, Franz von Baron, Paul Rebuffat, Baldy, Metal Dreams, Kelticheart, Nibbio, Captain Kurt, Davmag, Stiz, Pen32Win, Gary20, ChrisN, the Groundcrew team, Krystof Malinowski, The Virtual Navy, Usio, Canion, UncleTgt, and The B24 Guy.

Stuart277,

Good morning. Sorry this took so long to do, but I wanted to wait until Wolfi released his Avenger set to finish this. I promised you a while ago I would complete this, so I wanted to keep my word. I hope you find this acceptable!

Many thanks to UncleTgt for his help on the repaints, they are spectacular! :encouragement:

The B24 Guy,

Many thanks for licking this problem, I was at my wits' end. I was able to package and upload the mission set this morning. Cheers! :very_drunk:

Oops, sorry. I hadn't read the posts as I thought this was just communications back and forth. Didn't realize there was anything for the community. I know how a lack of appreciation is irritating. Rami, you might want to make a separate announcement about the campaign?

I for one thank you all very much and am off to download it now. :encouragement::encouragement::encouragement:

Thanks to all involved in this work, downloaded and installed...:applause::applause:

Cheers,

Gius

P.S. As far as the number of thanks, i've experimented several times the same situation...

Hey Rami. I am one of guilty ones. I d/l and was waiting till I had time to install. I am adding it to my early ETO which has just the BOB in it so far. Need some variety!
Thanks :wavey:

Gius and Captain Kurt,

No worries from either of you. The lack of response is more of a general gripe, but especially in the case of releases of auto-installers like Captain Kurt or I do, because of the enormous amount of work involved getting ship folders and aircraft folders right, as well as hunting down weapons and gauges. It can be especially tedious work

Highpockets, no worries on your end, either.

Guilty as charged! Please accept my appologies for not responding sooner. Your work is greatly appreciated Rami. And a thank you to all the others involved in this massive project.

Sincerily,
msfossey

Yes, but, in my opinion, except few aficionados, there is a lack of response in general towards magnificent works like this too.

Only the old generation of CFs2 fans really participates to the discussions on the forum.

Cheers,

Gius

Gius,

Which is why I make it a point to say something, to emphasize that, so that the people who create continue to want to.

Just grabbed it - and looking forward to flying this new creation of yours. :redfire:Thanks a lot to all involved in this vast achievement. :applause:

Finn,

Unfortunately, it's only a total of five missions. However, I've told Stuart277 in the past that if he ever tires of ships, he should consider writing more missions. He really does good work in that department; any missions of his really don't need modifications.

There is a much larger package in its final stages. :wiggle:

In one word: WOW. You really are spoiling us - but it's work like this that keeps the old CFS2 alive and kickin.'
