Configure Sidewinder FF2 Joystick for Autopilot??

Have solved nearly all other difficulties matching joystick to CFS2 on WinXP… but can anyone tell me what key combination (if any) will toggle Full Autopilot, AND Time Compression? Configuring keystrokes/joystick for CFS2 with my hi-end USB Port Dell computer has been a real BEAR. Appreciate any advice.
:help:

auto-Pilot

Not sure about the sidewinder settings , but CFS2 has a built in auto-pilot in the sim.
Go to the SETTINGS / "CONTROLER ASSIGNMENTS" , scroll down till you find tha auto-pilot settings & assign them to a key.
You can use any key you wish as long as the sim is not using it.
I use the number keys , #1 for on/off #2 for heading hold & # 3 for altitude hold.
It works out pretty well & may give you some other options for your joystick.

Just an option

Thanks for your consideration & response; kind of you. But alas.. no go. Tried Auto Heading on/off as well as in 'Bug Increments/decrements' - both on keyboard & joystick commands; with no result. Game simply won't recognize them. Real conflict somewhere that I can't ID. But again, thanks for the input to a 'New kid on the block'.

There are conflicting settings somewhere in the joystick and keyboard sections of your CFS2.cfg file. Back up the cfg and then open it in notepad and delete the following sections [JOYSTICK_MAIN XXXXX], [JOYSTICK_SLEW XXXXX], [KEYBOARD_MAIN] and [KEYBOARD_SLEW]. Reload the sim and reassign you custom keys again. This time start with trying to put those AP and TC assignments on the keyboard first, do the joystick assignments w/o AP and TC, then save the layout as "CFS2_1".

Whoa... that sounds practicable. Thanks. I'll plan on it. But, uh... though I presume TC means 'Tactical Commands', what are 'AC'?
