I'll give that a try, but having glanced at the V2 R-2800 sounds, it's a 4-engine setup and the differentiation of various sounds for all 4 engines isn't obvious. . .at least not to me, so figuring out exactly what to strip out and what not to strip out may be a bit of a task, but I'll see what I can do. . . .and how bad it sounds when I'm done,No problem.
In the sound.cfg file, just pick the right or left engine, strip out all references to the other and change "number of engines" to 1 and save the file. You can do it for both engines and see which file you prefer.

I seem to remember back several versions ago of Microsoft Flight Simulator there was a "Whistling Death" sound download that would turn on at given air speed and rate of descent. It was the best we could get at the time.
