New Place to Play Multiplayer CFS2

MPI Squadron started with CFS2 on the Zone and we are currently playing at Reverbgaming.com

If you want to play CFS 2 Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator there are rooms like the zone available at http://www.reverbgaming.com and it works Great if you deed help I will help you.

Go there and register
(TIP! the name you register with will be the name you use in the lobby no spaces dashes or underscores)

Then confirm the email they send you go back to there website and login with the name and password you picked go to the Gaming Lobby Software Section and download Reverb Lobby Client Version 2.1.0.0 file name (ReverbCDROM.2.1.0.0.zip) unzip and install, start program and login with the same name and password.


These are the ports that will need to be opened in your router to play CFS2

TCP Ports: (443 to 443) (6667 to 6667) (2300 to 2400) (28800 to 29100) (47624 to 47624)

UDP Ports: (2300 to 2400)

like if somebody this connected to play? I am of another country the schedules are different
there is a list of airplanes established besides those of the game? for example Spitfire and bf109 or Bristol beaufighter and bf110?

I don't see any support for cfs 2 in the hyper lobby if you have ever played on msn the zone reverbgaming lobby is exactly the same.

Now i got the progr. set up and i did go to lobby.
Some chat from a few hours before, was visible and every thing seemed
to work fine.
I tried to host and launch, but if i remember correctly,
hosting on the Zone required at least 1 player + host to
launch a game.
So i presume that aside from looking a lot like the old lobby
on the Zone, it works pretty much in the same way.

I will show up, for sure.
 
hopefully if people start going to the lobby to hangout it will get larger and we can get some games going. everybody should get this no matter where you play this is way better than ip games, hang out in the lobby and meet new people. hope to see there S~

Most online players don't like to play with anything but stock, unmodified aircraft. They consider it cheating unless all players agfree in advance. I don't know about this network, but in the past, there have been online games with jets, 1% planes etc. People from all over fly Maxstuka. On the Flight Deck (
http://www.thecfs2flightdeck.com/ ) we have folks from the UK, Netherlands, Alaska, Australia etc who regularly fly.

As soon as I figure out HOW to open my ports, I'll be back there too. We Use ventrilo for voice comms and the info windows to pass IPs for games. Immature attitudes and cheating are not tolerated.

There's text you can modify on one of the HL files that will manually enable CFS2 or 1. I can't say what file it is 'cause it's on my other computer. The change is as easy as changing a 0 to a 1.
 
I fight in my home red, with varius models, for example thicko russians yak,ofcourse I was instaled in all PC of the red!

MPI Squadron , have you a list of predeterminate add on aircrafts?
for example bf109E freeware of Aeroplane heavent?

I like fight with luftwaffe or Russian band! :jump:

For me, its the old Zone again :ernae:
After minor config on ports, i can join and host,
exactly the same way as the :engel016: Zone.

yes our clan is MPI Squadron our group was formed on the Zone in cfs2 around 2000 when the game came out and we played until it shut down, all I'm saying is the zone made this game, there where squads from all over the world, you could come online any time of the day and get in a game. basically all games need a central meeting place to play and cfs2 has none.
remember there would be lots of people that want to play many different types of games and fly tons of different planes, people like to fly mods, 100% ,50%, 1% planes, hops, carrier landings, bomb runs, what ever you want to play is fine, we just need to respect each other.
Post on the door what type of game your playing and what planes your flying explain and help people that join your room what's up don't be rude, that's how you meet people. don't cheat, don't call people cheats, if you don't like it go to another room do whatever you have to do just have fun!
I also know of of the ip games played at the The CFS-2 Flight Deck if you want to play by ip you can register there and then you need to email one of the admin with your user name and a password you want, they will respond when you can join, you must respect the rules or get the boot.
The only problem there is almost none of our clan members had ventrilo when we meet them and I have already spoke to a few new people in the reverb gaming lobby well typed to them and they had no voice communication so they would have no chance of getting in a game I hope all the boys from the flightdeck come here to play as well.
MPI Squadron fly's a stock hawker from cfs1 if you have cfs1 you can copy the hawker folder to the cfs2 folder or I started a new thread at our website in the public forum if you register you can grab a self installer for the hawker.

With a custom skin, the Reverb Lobby
can probably be made to look a lot like the old Zone.

I am thoroughly surprised, how quiet it is in the
Reverb 2. Lobby.
3-4 die-hard cfs2 guys and
the MPI pilots.

Here is this wonderful program,
that does revive the Zone
and i find myself flying
all alone, :sleep: usually.

If you ever missed the MP flying
on the Zone,
here is the program to do precisely that.
To avoid the Dp error m.
cfs2 has to be configured exactly
as it was on the Zone.
Simple as that.

Auto login--20 rooms to host/play in.
Just sweet :applause:

1 thing is different though.
On the Zone, cfs2 would take some time to load into
ready room.
Now (a few PC upgr. later) im in RR real quick.
