Hi Guys,

I've installed 4.7 in to a vanilla 3.1a install as instructed, and I've also done the workaround suggested in the troubleshooting section of the read me.

However, whenever I try to run the program I get four "Campaign/Assetts/Missions/Weather Path No Longer Found......Changing To F:\" messages in a row, followed by a "Runtime Error '68': Device Unavailable" Message.

Has anyone experienced this before? I'm running Windows 7 64 Bit by the way.

Any Workaround?

(P.S ETO/PTO is out of the question at the moment for me, so making Vanilla as good as can be for the time being!)
 
Is this to do with WM scenery or your vanilla install as not entirely clear. What readme is "the workaround suggested in the troubleshooting section of the read me" referring to?

This is what happens after I have unpacked the program and attempted to click the application (run as admin) from my start menu.

As for the work around:

"6) Trouble Shooting:

If you have problems with "funnies" in sim try the following:

1) Empty out (backup to be safe) your \assets folder of all sub folders other than \Models
2) Ensure that your \terrains folder is clean as exactly the same as the CD version.
(If you have modified compositescenery or texture budgets.xmls here then that's O.K! but those are the only exceptions)

3) In the Scenery Manger press the "INSTALL" button again, setup your scene, and all should be well in sim."

I'm n ow away from my PC for a month so can't check on this at the moment. I haven;t used WM for a while but have it on an old install at home. Just trying to push your thread along so someone might be able to answer and help you!:wavey: BTW why ETO out of the question?

No worries, I've got plenty to be getting on with in the meantime (Sim-Wise, and Real Life Wise) So if you figure it out months from now, I'll be happy to figure it out either way!

1. Talk about being away from your PC? I've been without my UBER Vr machine (twin 1080Ti's) since July! Its in Dubai with my family, and I've been in Canada, Holland, and (recently) back home in England. I've got a piece of crud laptop with 8GB DDR3, and an i5. Biggest drawback is the intel card. However I'm so happy to have a PC, (that runs a few sims) I couldn't care less at the moment. Can run CFS3 on max graphics at about 40fps. However, I don't think it can run ETO, hence why I'm sticking with Vanilla.

2. The other reason? Even if I had my dream set up I'd like 6 different installs of CFS3!

- Vanilla with addons I own (Mosquito, BoB, and Memphis Belle) and haven't played in years as I can't tolerate the stock Scenery (that's where WM comes in)
- Firepower install (with WM Scenery for the same reason as above)
- ETO Install
- JayKay's BoB Standalone
- PTO install
- MAW install

Also, thanks for bumping the thread, but like I said no worries if the answer takes months. Simming since I was 3 years old in 1998 has taught me patience if nothing else. This laptop is kind of building my confidence, but I don't think I can face a day long ETO install only to realise it runs at 3fps!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is that the one from Aussiex ETO Downloads section? If so it's the one I mentioned, if not, there could be a whole new mod for me to install :D
