Another great release of your artwork. Looks like I will have to go and get the FR P40, which actually looks a lot better overall to the version I have, released by Iris as a package 'Aces of the Commonwealth'.

I have the Boomerang so these paints are a welcome addition. (The Boomerang was well an interesting aeroplane, lot of work to make it happen too late and too slow before it was ready to do anything. I had a late uncle who flew them before going back to the MKIX Spitfire in Burma, he did not have many kind words for the Boomer, reckoned it could bite bad and hard on the turn from base to final on the unsuspecting and was well stodgy, after the Spitfire it would have been).

Is that the Abacus Wellington? it is the only half decent one I have.

Thanks and appreciated.

Its the FCS Wellington, (Daniel from Alphasim) I must admit it has one of the best VCs ive encountered, the most produced RAF Bomber during the war, FCS have done a great job

its just a shame FCS dont have paintkits for their releases, either way for it age, its level of internal detail is surprisingly up there

Im moving onto the the jungle and home front P40s now

Hi Bendyflyer
If you are tempted by the Flight Replica P-40 now is the time to buy it, half price at the Pilotshop. Personally I would buy the complete set.

Regards Paul Day.

Concur 110%, Mike hand his team have done a sterling job with this package

To me it looks waaay too brownish. In reality VVS/DOSAAF An-2's came out of the factory painted olive green with maybe a hint of yellow and very light blue-gray underside. Of course, they could be repainted at the maintenance, but I never ever saw an An-2 that brown. And I've seen them A LOT. Here's a color that I'd call typical.

its the correct green,

its the time of day and the filters in paintshop i used that have influenced that image

but thank you for your input

Cheers

@WH they will be uploaded soon
You are going to be pretty busy to deliver on that. There are some paints going back to the first of the month (like the Hind in post #193) that has yet to see the light of day. Can't count how many I'm waiting for. Good luck. :very_drunk:

Got it thanks, I have that one but had not reinstalled it after major rebuild of FSX some time ago. Peculiar how it has an Abacus moniker on the install icon but is marketed as FCS, which I guess it is. Agree re the details. My only gripe if I recall was if you zoomed back a little in VC view the model stopped aft of the seat back. Now back and installed awaiting the RAAF paint.

To all the others, yep the FR P-40 is on my new year wish list but I have so many others to catch up on and at the moment so little time it may have to wait. But a quick look confirms that it has that FR stamp of precision and detail all over.

Have a good new year!
