AH Avro Lancaster for FSX/P3D (preview)

Beautiful.... I was making Merlin sounds as I was admiring those pictures! Looking forward to it!! Still awaiting the "Jug" too...

The Lanc has a folding seat for the engineer who can act as a co-pilot but with no yoke or rudder controls. Some later versions were fitted with dual controls like those found in the BBMF Lancaster. But the original Lancaster was designed for single pilot operation. For such a big aeroplane, the cockpit is in fact quite cramped. A B17 is like a palace in comparison.:engel016:
 
A very impressive interior! One of the things that I really like about such FS aircraft is the historical preservation aspect. With FS 3D tools it is possible to create an even more faithful representation of these historical machines, possibly even more accurate than possible in museum restorations.

And we get to fly them without the hazard of reducing the number of irreplaceable examples!

A digital reminder of the analogue era!

that was right the difference between a European (British) and an American aircraft and still is today for fighter aircraft...

Yes - usually I'm the first to criticise videos on this basis. But for some reason this one works - for me. And looking at the edit, I'm not sure how well a live sound mix would have worked. Maybe a good compromise would have been to hold the music until (at least) after takeoff.

Very nice video but I agree with Roger, four Merlins is definitely a flight symphony. No sound like that in the entire world.
 
Looking good. I'd have been a bit nervous about landing with that cookie still on board though !
 
Yes, I was going to mention the cookie hang-up too - haha. On another point, the length of take-off run seems appropriate for a fully-laden aircraft of that size, so I'm encouraged. The sounds are first class - well done.
