Beaufighter progress...

Reply...

Oldwheat,

Very true, but I still like their Swordfish. She's my baby! :woot:

And, if I may play devil's advocate, CFS2 is nine years old, so it's sadly understandable they have moved on to greener pastures.

Splendid!

:applause: :jump: :applause: :jump: :applause::jump: :applause:

Colin's Beaus needed an update to align them to the level CFS2 reached!

Rami, a while back I uploaded replacement dp's for Colin's Beaus with RAF weapons: check it out. If you want I can send you updated prop textures as well. I used Rebuffat's RAF bombs, Mosquito RAF rockets and rails and Cryingtoto's RAF wing pylons.

Get the latest "UPDATE" file, it was one of my first tweaks and I uploaded it on June 2005 together with field-modified extra payloads for Beaufighter MkIC

Cheers!
KH :ernae:

Kelti,

Thanks for the info! I missed that one, though I should have known. Would you like me to send you a copy so that you can work on prop textures?

Thanks, Ravenna! :ernae:

Unfortunately, that doesn't cover the Mark VI.

I hate . . .

Making VCs %$#@&^

I will never get the hang of this . . .

If anyone has any clue how to get the throttle levers to move, let me know . . .

I only ever use the VC to admire-the VC :icon_lol:. Thanks for the Beau Biz, one of my all time favourites, a mean, brutal, businesslike plane. I have left a trail of plastic model Beaus going back 50 years :australia:

Remember, guys...this is still undergoing beta testing. Let's not put the cart before the horse!

I forgot all about Kelti's update! I'll have a look.

If it ticks all the boxes you require Rami, I'll leave it. If not, do I have your permission to play with it a bit Kelti?

Hewman,

Kelti's updates are an excellent starting point, if they can be worked in to this model. However, the one concern I have is the performance and range are accurate. And, as I said in the e-mail, drop tanks will be needed for some of the longer range and ferry missions.

Airfiles are not my thing which will principally deal with that. Admittedly some of that will be linked to the external tanks

I know. The drop tanks will extend the range. I am still looking for an airfile guru to handle the aircraft.cfg and the .airfile.

Not bad! Simon sent me a fix which reduces the yoke movement, but the aircraft size was badly altered, so I have to talk to him about that.

VC Update

Wow! You've put some hours into that baby. I really like to have a good VC to supplement the 2d panel. I use padlock view quite a bit as well as the VC for situational awareness, so this will be a treat.

Bismarck

Not sure I will be able to fly with that VC...but I am totally sure I will be able to crash with it LOL.

Looks good! Has the basic flight gauges, windows to look out of, a seat to sit in, and a steering wheel to make the plane go where you want it to go. What more do you need in a vc?
