Matrix for P3D not installing Global Library

I have posted on the MAIW site, along with their Facebook site, but wondered if anyone here could help me figure out a problem. I am not able to install the Global Library in MAIW's Matrix, which is required to be able to install their various "regional" packages. Any help here? Thanks. NC

Had the same (frustrating) issue at my end, as I only have a C: drive. After several tries from various angles, what worked for me was creating a folder on my C: drive (e.g. C:\Matrix Files) then running the install after turning off MSE. I had already tried with MSE off and a destination folder in \Program files, so it was the location of the destination folder causing the problem. If you have already created a folder, you can change it by going to the Matrix 'settings' tab - make sure you have created the folder before setting it!

I've only got the Oceania set in P3Dv4 atm (with FTX stuff) - definitely worth the aggravation!

Hope this helps.

I have a similar set up to teeboy, all my Matrix stuff on the "D" drive. Also to note, one of the main MAIW developers is on vacation this week. A few bugs in the latest region of Asia that he will attend to. NC, I've been a long time user of all MAIW packages and made sure I pulled them over from my FSX install as the new P3D models were converted. Matrix makes this process much easier in the end verse doing manual installs in FSX.

As long as you point it to where you want your AI, it's hand's free. All files are converted to run in P3Dv4 for you, so you don't have to mess with anything just turn up your Airline/GA traffic sliders.

So it creates AI flight plans and installs them? NC

Yes, it has converted the traffic.bgls for FSX/P3D already. Minor tweaks to older packages to make them work with one click in Matrix, including textures (bmp to dds). The only other thing you have to do is the voice packs for the callsigns. I use Editvoicepack XL now, and went ahead and purchased it.

I own Editvoicepack, but never used it. Are the EditVoicepack files necessary? Thx, NC

Not necessary, however, a lot of the unit callsigns are not included in the standard P3D audio pack (same goes for aircraft types and waypoint names). Adding these improves the experience.
It's also a great way to speed up the rather slow ATC 'patter' which I find rather painful at times - makes all the audio much quicker and way more like real garbled airwaves stuff.. Give it a go, you can always put it back to original if it doesn't suit..

Are there separate voicepacks I need to download? Thanks, NC

Only the one on the global tab, at least so far. I'm guessing if it is added to there will be some notification in the Matrix app as there is for updates.

You can also use EditVoicepack to tailor the ATC to FAA or ICAO phraseology - very powerful tool.

NC, in Matrix there is a global voicepack that includes most of the callsigns included over the years from all MAIW packages. You''ll have to use EVP XL to add them, that way you will hear ATC call your AI by tactical callsign instead of just the flight number.
