Water-stabilized hydrogen fuel!

Interesting, but it would not cost half as much as gasoline and diesel and get far better fuel mileage. Road construction and repair is paid for in large part by fuel taxes. As less fuel is used due to improved fuel efficiency, those taxes have gone up. I like the idea of a hydrogen based fuel, but to think that it is going to end up being incredibly efficient and incredibly cheap to buy is a fantasy. It will be efficient, but it will end up costing the end user about the same as fossil fuels.

I dread the sniffer test every two years. Zero emissions sounds good to me! Now how expensive is this tech is another question?

Gas companies will send out their armies of lobbyists, and bought-and-paid-for political critters will obediently pass things to slow this down at every turn, while looking innocently into the cameras and going "Who..... us?"

+1

I recently saw an advert for a flashlight powered by a fuel cell. Just add water, and away it goes!
Sadly, the Apollo capsules were powered by fuel cells. What happened to this 50 year old tech? Why aren't all our electrical devices powered by fuel cells?? Including electric cars.
For the same reasons this Hydrogen Fuel stuff will all disappear from public view very quickly. Sounds wonderful, won't last long...
