Strange aileron settings for aircraft

Have had to reinstall FSX. Now find all aircraft have ailerons set at port down/starboard up...consequently cannot control aircraft.
Have recalibrated Force Feedback joystick...all is set as usual and 'calibrates' as normal control, but all aircraft sit on the runway with the fixed ailerons and they do not move. Flaps, rudder, elevator...all OK. Everything on the panels seems OK.
Any idea why this is happening-=dcp=-

In your FSX.cfg under [USERINTERFACE] go to the line that says Situation= and delete anything after the = sign in that line. Now start FSX and it will rebuild the default flight over Friday Harbor. Your default flight may be corrupted.

As noted above, that happens to me when the plane launches in the sim with the autopilot on. Just hit the "Z" key and turn it off.

To all:
Yep, the autopilot was 'on' - turned it off and problem solved. Thanks. Must have hit the Z key by accident.

MrZippy: "In your FSX.cfg under [USERINTERFACE] go to the line that says Situation=..."
Still would like to do this, but don't seem to find [USERINTERFACE] in: Microsoft Flight sim X\Config\config (cascading style s)
Maybe (probably) looking in the wrong directory.
Any more detailed directions for me?

C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\FSX.CFG This was the path for Win7. Possibly the same for Win10 Don't know why there looks like a space in FSX.CFG
