A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Italian

Description: FG SM82 Canguro for CFS2 by UncleTgt

This is a conversion of the SM82 Canguro by F.G iuli for CFS2.

The pack includes a new air file, optimized for AI & player aircraft performance. A completely new 2D panel was provided by MVG & Kelticheart, & they also created some Italian gauges specifically for this conversion.

The ventral turret uses the concorde nose/retract key, bomb bay doors & exits use the usual spoiler & Cockpit commands.

Because of the variety of uses the Canguro was put to during it's service, & the limitations of CFS 2 in depicting fuel & payload options, it will be uploaded as a series of six different role-specific aircraft. This is solely to simplify installation. The complete listing is:

SM82_Bomber_LR (long range bomber)
SM82_Bomber_SR (short range bomber)
SM82 Cargo_LR (long range transport)
SM82 Cargo_SR (short range transport)
SM82 Cargo_LR_GER (long range tranport using German weapons)
SM82 Cargo_SR_GER (short range transport using German weapons)

I have looked and I cannot find this one. The WD indicates it might be a William Dickens (Bismarck13) weapon, but I cannot find it for the life of me! :banghead:

Yeah, I looked everywhere I could think of: SOH, Simviation, FlightSim.com, TheFreeFlightSite.

Googled on every permutation of CFS2, 800kg bomb, William Dickens, Bismarck13, WEP_WD_IT_800kg, Italian, etc. I could think of.

Searched through all my old CD-back-ups and external-HD back-ups. Searched through my OBJECTS_DP holding folder.

Nada.

Finally, just to be rid of the annoying little message, I edited the dp file- changed the offending WEP_WD_IT_800kg payload call-outs to //comments- easily changed back if the pesky little barnacle :kilroy: ever rears its head.

I'm not sure if the weap even exists, if William Dickens' (Bismarck13) Italian bombs readme is any indication.

Yep, I saw that note in the readme for the It_Bombs pack too and wonder the same.

The thing is just nowhere to be found.

Oops:p87: my bad guys

This was a package that was worked on 2 years ago - at first we were using Bismark13s Italian bombs, then switched to John Fortin's ordnance. The 800kg bomb was a placeholder until we could find a suitable weapon.

Fast forwards 2 years & I assemble the packages for upload - and completely forget about the "mythical" Italian:icon_redface: 800kg bomb...

Never mind, Maskrider seems to have it covered. I will update the uploads with his modified dps.
