Good afternoon,
Here is the airfield at Guise, also in Northeastern France. This airfield, along with Charleville, were major Jagdgeschwader airfields for Bf-109s as the Luftwaffe began to establish themselves on French soil, before moving on to airfields near Cambrai and Reims.

Thanks! But Achim27619, kdriver, and Captain Kurt are the primary architects. I do not build the airfields myself.
They are beautiful though. My compliments to the authors.

Here are the promised GSL files for the Battle of France to this point. I would say about 97-98% of the scenery for Part I is complete. The regular Battle of France GSL file contains all the scenery and eye candy. Some of the towns that are used as navigational landmarks are not included in the "lite" GSL file.
There may be some scenery needed in Holland, possibly Amsterdam, which I am emphatically not looking forward to building. (Take a hop from Schiphol flying northeast and have a look)
Also, note that the only layouts for England and Scotland are the airbases...no other GSL scenery is included, which eliminates the Central London issues. I did not include the B-17 bases, (except for Watton, because it is used) nor some of the bases that Kdriver did in the UK.
In France and Germany, all of your bases (ones you did for the 357th, Jagdgeschwader 11, and BoF) are included in the GSL file, as well as Kdriver's airfields and Achim's.
You should have everything else you need. (Kurt)

Thanks Andrew. You really put it on a diet. Down to 2.82Mb from 8.42 Mb. It should make a big difference.

I hope to be done with my classwork tomorrow, so I'll have from April 29th or 30th until September 3rd to finish up the Battle of France Part I, or about 128 days.

Doing some mission-checking in preparation for writing missions again...thanks to e.a. wicklund for yet another fix, this time to the Messerschmitt Bf-110c!
In addition to improved flight characteristics, (especially the AI) the .dp file is also fixed, so now she can be shot down without expending all of your ammo!

Your staffel will hit the enemy airfield of La Ferté-Gaucher, which is being used by their bomber units to harass our forces along the River Somme. Let's do our job so that our units in the Pas-de-Calais can push British and French forces into the sea!
"objective_string"=On the morning of 24 May 1940, La Ferté-Gaucher airfield was bombed by the Luftwaffe. During the raid, three Amiot 354 and two Bloch 210 bombers were destroyed. Any further info is not available. (Leo 45 bombers have been used as stand-ins for the Amiots) It's not known which Luftwaffe units were involved, but given that the French base was almost within sight of Paris, it's likely that French fighters would have intercepted them, so a Bf-110 escort has been provided to improve survivability.
"intelligence_string"=Once you are airborne, you'll fly west-northwest and climb to 4,500m as you angle toward Paris. As you near the field, expect to find French fighters in the area. Your escorts will attempt to draw off these fighters. Over the airfield, focus on hitting fuel stores, ammo crates, hangars, and all parked aircraft. Once you leave the airfield, the escorts will stay with you into eastern France. Once they leave, you will continue to Memmingen. We are not sure if this is our only action today, so let's make our first one count!
