SuperSTOL Fun

Great video. It looks like I'm going to have to start practicing my side of mountain u-turns now. :very_drunk:
That could come in handy in a box canyon if the end wall isn't too steep.

The Flight Replicas Super Cub Ultra models this well. Very different (and IMHO, better) flight model than their regular Super Cub. I made a short video a while back, a proof of concept of how a fairly judged STOL contest could be held in the sim. Never managed to drum up enough interest at Return to Misty Moorings... but the video highlights the FR Super Cub Ultra capabilities. It's lots of fun if this kind of flying appeals to you. You really can land it just about anywhere; whatever mountainside or gravel bar looks appealing.

Naaaah, that's Payware and this is the Outhouse.

This is what you want; Tundra Tyres, Cessna frame based on the 150 and a shed load of work put in to the flight dynamics...
It's one of my favourite aircraft of all time and I wish I had it in Real World...

(enjoy)

Yeah but... at heart, it's still a 150.

Kidding... thanks for pointing that out, I never knew anyone had modeled anything in the Texas Taildragger family for the sim. If it flies nice, I'm interested!
