A.F.Scrub T-39 Saberliner

I increased the pitch_stability to control the pitch and increased the aileron_effectiveness to increase the ability to roll. I'm still experimenting with values.
Would you believe a setting of 3.80 for aileron_effectiveness before I could complete a full roll that didn't either end in a nose down crash or take almost 2 minutes to complete?

A couple of liveries, not certain they would hold up under scrutiny by experts, but good enough for me to fly around in:

There is a modified version on Flightsim.com. I downloaded it but I'm not sure I want to spend any more time tweaking this thing. :banghead:

I agree WH. He doesn't (or can't really) address the mapping issue with the LE Slats, everyone has probably tweaked what they have to their own liking, so no real reason to go after another one. I have someone who says they've corrected the issue with the LE, I'm just waiting for them to send me the correction.

Beautiful USN paint! Is it uploaded, Ed? Pete
I can send it to you Pete via a PM but "IF" I do upload it at some point it will be done with the caveat to others that it's done based on the information I had available to me concerning decals, placards, Sq, markings, etc. Without a doubt I know that someone will download it and have the exact book on "that" particular Squadron and start in about. . . ."that's the wrong font, and size, "we" never painted that the way you've painted it, the position of this and that and the other things is off about 12 to the right" and so on. So I would be more than happy to send it to you if you want it. It's only about 3meg so I should be able to send it via a PM.

I thought I would pass this on to anyone who is truly interested in repainting this airplane. On the Wings_01 texture you will find a place to add color to the LE_Slats. . .don't bother as they aren't mapped. The color comes from the area just above and below the upper wing templates. . .exactly where, I haven't a clue. Apparently there is probably a square somewhere in that section that he used to give the slats a color. I tried pinpointing it to no avail.

So there you have it. more useless info, lol

Update released

Just seen an updated model over on Flightsim.com
"[SIZE=-1]This fixes the wing fences texture of the North American Sabreliner. Replace the old model by the new one and put wingfences.dds into the sabreliner texture folder. Fix by A.F. Scrub. "

Saw that. I contacted A.F. to let him know about the texture problem and he quickly knocked out a fix. Thanks Sir!
